CLINICAL NEUROSCIENCE CENTRE

Background

The Mount Elizabeth Hospital and the Gleneagles Hospital Clinical Neuroscience Centres (abbreviated as MEH-CNC and GHL-CNC respectively) are Parkway facilities staffed by nurses and therapists, and coordinated by a group of neuroscience specialists. As centres of excellence, both MEH-CNC and GHL-CNC provide comprehensive and coordinated multi-disciplinary care to individuals with neurological diseases.

The Clinical Neuroscience Centre was set up as a result of rapid advances in specialised skills, treatment programmes, imaging technology, and the belief in the effectiveness of an organized, multi-pronged approach to patient care.

The Centre has since progressed to become a fully integrated, multi-disciplinary centre for clinical neuroscience in the private sector.

A Centre for Total Quality Care

The Clinical Neuroscience Centre provides care for patients suffering from stroke, epilepsy, brain tumours, memory disorders, dementia, sleep disorders, and other neurological problems.

Based on the systemic model of providing quality care, the Centre’s team of neurospecialists and support staff optimise each patient’s treatment plan so as to deliver the best individualized care possible.

The staff at the Clinical Neuroscience Centre believe that professional excellence has to be balanced with quality, and compassionate service in order to expedite the healing process.

Our Services

Our services range from Acute Neuro-intensive and High Dependency Care, to Rehabilitation Programmes and Day and Home Care.

For continuing After-Care, there are patient support groups for individuals with strokes and sleep disorders. Also in the plans are patient support groups for the other neurological conditions.

We are committed to taking care of our patients both during hospitalization, as well as after the patients have been discharged from the hospital.
